On Sunday, action continued with Katie Stark throwing an impressive 10.43 to take Silver in the Under 16 Shot.
In Sundays under 16 Pole Vault, Andrew MacFarlane took Silver with a jump of 3.20, that was only half the story though. Following the end of official competition Andrew made an attempt on the Scottish under 15 record with a jump of 3.35m. Andrew cleared the height and was on the mat looking up at his clearance when the pole drifted back agonisingly to dislodge the bar which up to that point hadn’t moved a millimetre. Despite this set back Andrew went on to record a 4th place and PB in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.33 and a seasons best 10.52 to finish 4th in the shot putt. A superb all round effort
Well done to all the athletes Their success is testament to their hard work and dedication and also the time and effort put in by their coaches to develop them to such a high standard. Great work everyone.
