Knockfarrell Hill Race Update with Results
A cracking race was served up in Strathpeffer today with stunning weather, great organisation and a big field out to race the inaugural North District Hill Race Championship. The Knockfarrell course is only 8.5k long but has 2 of the hardest climbs you’re likely to encounter and with some fast descents, the course lends itself to championship racing. The clubs leading distance runner Graham Bee just lost out to Forres Harriers Gordon Lennox with HHRs Dave Wilby in 3rd. In the ladies race Caroline Marwick and Cat Fraser battled to 2nd and 3rd in the district championships. Paul Miller won the Vets V40 title and with Ross Nixon the men’s team were third team in the championships. The course was very testing but the view from the top was absolutely stunning.
Great runs also came from BILLY SKINNER, Stewart Wilson, Steve Worseley, Kenny Steele, Charlie Jarvie and Graham Campbell.
Big thanks to HHR for organising a cracking race and for such a good post race spread.
