Today saw the final race in the winter handicap series for 2013/14.  This was the club championship race for the juniors and the hidden handicap for the seniors.  There were some great performances and the top 3 from each category is available HERE

The senior race was the hidden handicap and was set to settle the senior ladies and mens handicap titles.  The scrutineers had brought in extra staff from Scottish Athletics to ensure all times were checked and quadruple checked.  The computer worked overtime to ensure the results were correct and with Jenny Bannerman poised at the engravers and Charlie poised at the Courier Office with the headline “Handicapper wins Handicaps”, the winners were revealed.

So it is that this year it will be Hugh and Caroline Marwick  who will lift the coveted IHAAC Senior handicap trophies. Having only recently started running, the Parkrun stalwarts have shown fantastic improvement since joining the club. The couple have seen their performances steadily improve over the 5 race series with both athletes making big improvements on their mile pace. Well done guys.
