HARRIERS HIT MEDAL TRAIL IN SCRABSTER

It was a successful day for the Harriers on Saturday(12th October) at the North District Relay Championships in Scrabster with 4 team medals coming home on the bus.
The girls got the day off with a great start taking gold with Connie Campbell,Josie Steele and Heather Campbell never losing first place all the way the round the tough cousre to take the first medal of the day this was closely followed by the boys team of Craig Wilson,James Geddes and Gregor Maclennan who took a deserved bronze medal after leading the race mid way through the third leg to get over taken by the stronger teams of East Sutherland and Stornaway AAC.
The Senior Women were up next and were never in any danger and took 1st place with Paula Ross leading the women from the start passing onto Julie Wilson for the 2nd leg and finally Alison Wilson running the last leg to take a comfortable win.
The men ran a good race but had to play second fiddle again to a strong Forres team who pushed the Inverness Men of Craig Campbell,Andy Macrae,Stuart Michael and Stephen Mackay into 2nd place after leading the race after two legs.
It was good day overall with some great performances and a family treble with Connie,Heather and Craig Campbell all coming home with medals.
