Harriers Melt the Snow at Keith

Some tough conditions were endured at the snowy cross country course organised by Keith & District yesterday. The slippy footing did not prevent some fantastic team and individual performances though. The senior Men and Ladies teams played second fiddle to the ever present Forres but Mhari Maclennan powered round to take her first win of the season in the ladies race in 21.35. Sean Chalmers carried on his domination of the u17 field in 18.33 looking a banker for winning the overall title in a fortnight at Forres with Finlay Maclennan 3rd in 19.50. James Geddes lead the u15 boys to a team win in 9.53 backed up by Andrew Johnstone (9.56) and Andrew Velzain (10.02). Heather Cambell took top spot in the u17 girls with Lauren Fraser winning the u15 race, both taking team wins backed up by Arianne Ross & Mary Flockhart. Joe Arnaud sprinted home and sneaked a closely contested race to win in the u13 boys. The u13 girls took the team win with Zoe Romaine the fastest finisher in 3rd place. Great placing also in the u11 category in those tough conditions.
