Saturday 28th September saw Inverness Harriers hold a couple of special training sessions at Queens Park. Special guest was Jamie Bowie, our very own World Championship athlete, who was in Inverness for the previous evenings club AGM at Millburn Academy. He very kindly agreed to lead some of our younger athletes through various routines, exercises and drills.

Around 20 young athletes, from U11s through to U15s, experienced warmups, stretching, medicine ball routines, bandwork, co-ordination drills and some speedwork. It was very well received by the young athletes – as well as the coaches and parents who were present. After the session Jamie gave a wee talk about commitment and dedication, before posing for photos and signing autographs.

Very many thanks to Jamie for giving up his time on Saturday, it was very much appreciated by all present.
