North District Relays – Scrabster – This Saturday

Hot on the heals of last weeks opening XC league race comes the North District Cross Country relays which take place in Scrabster this Saturday. The club have a large squad going up north and are hopeful of bringing back some medals.
The racing starts at 1230 with the young females race. The club has 2 strong teams in this event with Charlotte Hill and Beth MacIver in the U13 legs, Josie Steele and Connie Campbell in the U15 legs and Heather Campbell and Arianne Ross in the U17 leg.
The young males are off at 1.05 and they follow the same 2750 metres course as the young females. Again the club has 2 strong teams competing. Craig Wilson and Taylor Sim run first legs in the U13s, it’s a family double in leg 2 with James and Alex Geddes running in the U15 section and completing the teams are Cameron Young and Jed Russell in the U17 leg.
The senior male, senior female and masters races are all off together at 1.40 to ensure everyone can travel home in daylight.
The senior female team are Jenny Bannerman, Roma Shepherd and Louise Crilly with the Masters (not that any of them look over 40) are Paula Ross, Alison Wilson and Julie Wilson.
The males teams are Team 1 – Grant Hassan, Ross Cairns, Paul Davidson and Finlay Maclennan Team 2 - Stephen Mackay, Andy Macrae, Stuart Michael and Craig Campbell and The Stannah Stairlift Sponsored Masters Team are Paul Miller, Billy Skinner, Ross Nixon and Alec Keith.
The seniors all compete over a 4200 metres course.
