WORLD MASTERS INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS, DAEGU, SOUTH KOREA – DAY 3 UPDATE – Report taken from Scottish Veterens Athletics

Firstly, apologies to Inverness athletes Tony Golabek and Dean Kane, who never received the recognition they deserved yesterday. Due to their third counter, who dropped down from the M45 to M35 age group, failing to appear in the individual results, their well deserved Bronze Team medals were omitted yesterday. This brought the total of medals won by the Scots on Day 2 to eight.

Moving on to Day 3, the 800m heats saw Brian Scally M55 (Shettleston), making his debut on the track, cruelly missing out on the final by a mere 0.4secs, finishing 3rd in his heat with a time of 2:21.6. Sharyn Ramage’s W50 (Edinburgh) heat cancelled and now goes as a straight final on Thursday.

Day 4 tomorrow sees Cross Country Team medallists, Sharyn Ramage W50 (Edinburgh) and Janette Fellowes W60 (Helensburgh) go in the 3000m.
